Image & Form Games, the developer behind the SteamWorld series, has announced that SteamWorld Dig 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Steam, in addition to Nintendo Switch.

The 2D mining-based platformer is “pretty much finished” according to the developer, but the polishing stage will push the release window to late summer/early fall of this year. SteamWorld Dig 2 will debut first on the Switch, with the PS4 and Steam versions following within a few days.

Our Take
Many predicted that SteamWorld Dig 2 would make its way onto other platforms eventually, but the confirmation is welcome, especially with the announcement of close proximity for all platform release dates.
